How to read it. The ROI is concentrated in the reviews that change a decision, declining what the firm would have chased, greenlighting what it would have dropped, or keeping a medical error out of a served response. Confirmatory reviews still add value (confidence, documented defensibility) but aren't counted here. "Loss avoided" is the early-workup cost; a meritless case not caught until it's lost at trial costs far more. "Discovery risk removed" is insurance value, a single wrong admission, interrogatory mischaracterization, or Daubert-exposing error, once served under oath, can forfeit a claim and expose the firm to a malpractice claim; when it hits, the value is the case.
